23/5/13 - Pizza and Motivation



So I got weighed yesterday and had lost 1lb, which I suppose isn't too bad seeing as though I've been to Pizza Express AND Pizza Hut this week! Pizza is not even something which usually gets me but it really has this week. So I thought I'd talk a bit about how I got on with eating out AND a little motivation I have set myself.

Pizza Hut is definitely not known for its healthy choices and looking in my WeightWathchers eating out guide, I was sort of dreading it, but I was going with my boyfriend and we hadn't been out together for a while so I wanted to make the most of it. I hate going out and feeling like I'm on a diet!
To get round it, we shared a large pizza (half margherita for me, half bbq chicken for Dan) which meant there were 4 slices for me at 8 pro points a slice. I also made the most of the unlimited salad, and filled up on lettuce, carrot and cucumber (and a few cheeky bacon bits). After eating so much salad, and doing a lot of talking, I ended up eating 2 slices of pizza and being full. Successful meal out, and only using around 18 points. Amazing.

As for Pizza Express, this was a quick decision whilst out with my Mum and sister so I couldn't research before hand. However, they do Leggera pizzas, which are delicious and under 500 calories! I had the Pomodoro Pesto Leggera and it was delicious. It comes as a normal pizza but has a hole in the middle filled with salad. It was 13 points and worth every single one, I would definitely recommend it. My Mum also does WeightWatchers with me, and had a Leggera Superfood Salad which is under 300 calories! When it came it looked delicious and my Mum really enjoyed it.
We've been singing Pizza Express's praises all week after we enjoyed these meals so much!

Finally, to motivate myself a little more, I've decided that once I get to my first goal, I'll treat myself to some new clothes for the gym. I love the Blogilates tops but I don't know if I'm comfortable enough to wear something like that yet, so I'm going to keep and eye out for something nice to treat myself! I love the Blogilates videos for times when I don't make it to the gym, they're so fun but you can definitely feel them working. Call Me Maybe Squats is definitely my favourite.

I meant to take more pictures this week but I forgot! My Mum did take this one of me though, enjoying a Kopparberg in the tiny bit of sun we had. I don't look very comfortable, but my hair looks long so it's ok :)

16th May, 2013

So I lost 3lb this week! Which doesn't seem like the best but I'm happy. 
It was my first week doing WeightWatchers so I had to get to grips with how the ProPoints work, but in all honesty I haven't found it overly difficult. 
I've already managed to lose around 1st 7lb on my own but I decided I needed a bit of a push, in time for my holiday to Portugal in 8 weeks. 

I even went out for a meal this week and still managed to keep well within the points. Hopefully I'll be able to keep this up for the next 2 months, and in Portugal I WILL be able to wear a bikini! 

Here are some pictures of me more recently, so you can see the difference so far. It's strange to look at pictures side by side because I don't feel much different in myself, but when I look at pictures I can definitely see a difference! 

I've still got a long way to go, and I haven't set a solid goal weight yet, but at least I have lost! 

I'm going out for a meal on Saturday to Bibi's in Leeds. I was worried about being able to calculate the points, but I've scoured my Eating Out book, and I have an idea of the type of things I can order. I'll let you know how it goes!

Where it all went wrong!

I'm very new to blogging, but I've had weight issues for a while now, so I decided to put together some pictures of the past few years.
Some of the pictures make me cringe and I find them really difficult to look at, but I hope it'll just make me more motivated!

This is around the time I reached my biggest, and I find it really difficult to look at pictures from these few months. It upsets me how much weight I managed to put on in just over a year. 

Thankfully I've managed to lose some of this weight, but I'm still a long way from my goals! 
I will upload some more recent pictures soon to show how I've done so far.
